What we do
Charity Management
For 30 years we have run the Tunnell Trust for Young Musicians. Jonathan Tunnell, as Artistic Director, is responsible for all day to day running of the Trust.
Fundraising is a large part of the work. The Trust’s funding comes from a broad base including individual giving, charity donations and commercial sponsorship.
The Trust promotes its annual Chamber Music Week in Scotland with coaching for young professional groups as well as 4 public recital events and workshops for youngsters.
We also help to design and produce print material for events.
For 5 years we also managed finance and charity compliance for Guildhall String Ensemble.
Orchestra Management
For 18 years Jonathan Tunnell has been Orchestra Manager for the Glyndebourne Sinfonia (formerly the Glyndebourne Tour Orchestra) as well as its principal cellist. The Sinfonia works for approximately 10 weeks each autumn. Responsibilities include all personnel management from fixing players to day to day management, budget management, payroll, and liaison with conductors and directors. Jonathan also now sits on the Artistic Diversity & Inclusion Panel at Glyndebourne and has devised and runs Glyndebourne’s graduate scheme for young orchestral players – Pit Perfect.
We also take on a considerable amount of consultancy work for orchestral and private clients ranging from player fixing to budgeting and concert/project management.

Through our work for the Tunnell Trust and other organisations we have developed considerable experience in promoting events including:
- artist liaison including producing contracts
- venue booking
- production of print material and tickets
- sponsorship
- advertising
- concert management on the day
